Dungeon Diver

Dungeon Diver:
Enter a dungeon, one room at a time, with a fresh hand of Item Cards that break after a few random uses. Use them or lose them, because no card carries over to the next room, so spend your two Actions wisely, save your gold for the shop, and fight on until you clear the dungeon or fall

Is there… something going on with the level design? (In an intentional way.)
I’m pretty confident the items I’ve sold become more abundant in the store, possibly even on new runs. The game got genuinely harder after my second run, which was curious.
If I’m just seeing things, let me down easy. I just wanted to check because it would be very interesting if true.
Also, major kudos on the simple illustrative style. It caught my eye, and I was right to assume that a chill style would merit a neat, replayable game.
Thank you for the kind words! And yup, you are not seeing things the level design is very much intentional
I was going for a roguelike theme, where each run gives you a random set of cards. You got pretty lucky being able to finish it on your first run
The idea is that even if you get unlucky and end up with a bad hand, you can still turn the game around by selling those cards and adapting your strategy
BTW, the game is still far from finished this is basically the first draft of the idea. Thank you so much for the feedback! I’ll probably keep working on it and turn it into a full game
